an exceptional site, facing the sea. small stony road for 6km to get there but it's worth it! dry toilets, no drinking water or electricity. It is absolutely necessary to book on the official website of the national parks of Victoria state because there are checks with the license plates. Places are very limited and popular so book in advance!
1 word: great. great views, super nice spots, lots of wildlife, the road to it is a bit rough, but if you drive slowly it is doable (it works fine with our camper) we felt safe and will definitely recommend this campsite.
Such a great spot to spend a night on the great ocean road ! A little detour of 20min is needed but worth it. Great view on the ocean, fire place, quiet in the middle of the nature 😍 The bathrooms are good but no showers and not drinkable water … I recommend this place ! And if you are lucky, as us, you will see koalas and kangaroos in the wild 🤩.
Nice campground. Lots of birds. Came across a male satin bower bird’s courting arena and had a long nosed bandicoot come around our campsite in the evening. Road in needs to be graded. Fire places need cleaning out as they are too full of ash. Optus network accessible on the beach.
Well worth the drive on the rough gravel road. Stunning views, quiet, clean toilets, water, birds, fireplace, walking tracks. $6 per person per night. Telstra network works but not Optus.
Book early as this is a very popular site. Access via a washboard bumpy gravel road so take it steady. Keep your eyes peeled for koalas in the trees. We had about 5 in the campsite and one walked across our parking spot! Easy short walks to the untouched beach. A few toilets and picnic tables and fire pits dotted around the site
Not worth the $27 for a spot, sites were dirty (used tissues and rubbish everywhere) and small, no tables and a very uneven track to get to the sites behind the beach. Toilets were clean enough but we’ve definitely stayed in better free campgrounds. Not a negative but no Optus phone signal.
Very nice, right next to the beach. From campsite 15,16,17 and 19-22 you can see a bit of the ocean, with some bushes to protect you from the wind. And those are close to the toilets as well. Taps with rain water, toilets were cleaned on our second morning there and looked/smelled OK. And keep an eye out for the local wallaby and koalas as well :). And from the campsite you can go to a very pretty look out too!
Beautiful place on beach in bush with walking tracks going both ways along the coast. Clean drop toilets. Need drinking water and firewood. Quickly books out over summer. Better to prebook online via contact.
