Absolutely beautiful spot!! Bit overpriced and old facilities, but location is lovely on the cliff
Stunning views, great cliff-top walks, dog friendly beaches, rail trails and a pet-friendly park all combined with fab May weather equaled a great stay. The one thing we did miss was not having an open fire to gather around at night... That would have taken the experience to another level! We do plan to get back here again in summer. WAKs
Great views, as the site is on the slope overlooking the ocean so most sites slope in some direction. Camp kitchen is small but not a problem when I was there as not many campers in to use it. Clearly setup for families with children as their target clients. Amenities are ample. However a little pricey and no allowance made for solo traveler, I can only assume that is the price you pay for being closer to Melbourne and very close to Phillip Island.
We arrived quit late, just before closing time though (office closes at 18:00). Could chose between ocean view or normal camping site. Picked the normal one as you had to pay extra for the ocean view, didn't make sense for us to pick ocean view as you could easily see the ocean from every spot on the camping as it was super quiet. They had a nice little chill area where you can play games and cook. Toilets and showers were okay if you didn't look up to the ceiling where you would see spiders and dust etc. Stayed one night so we could easily go to Phillip Island which was great!
All in all we were super satisfied. Great location right by the sea with great views for the sunset. Toilets old but really clean. Unfortunately the toilets were cleaned at exactly 10:30 a.m. and check-out is at 11 a.m. Cleaning should perhaps be postponed until after 11am. Employees were nice but not overly welcoming. We paid $112 for a motorhome with 5 people, which is very expensive.
Campsite is ok. The reception staff simply do the job and nothing more. Toilets/showers were clean (although two women's and two men's toilets are a bit scarce). No wifi. We had our spot practically next to the entrance and still had to drive around the entire campsite to get in and out. $56/2pers. Powered is quite expensive. We don't think the price/performance ratio is right.
Great views
