Cavendish Recreation Reserve campground offers 8 powered sites ($30 PN) and 50 unpowered river sites ($20 PN) suitable for tents, caravans, motorhomes and camper trailers. Facilities include hot showers, toilets, Electric BBQ, and picnic tables. Fires are allowed only between April & November. You will need to bring your own wood. Local attractions include fishing, canoeing and kayaking. Bookings essential 0499 048 184.

Great low cost campsite! Amenities are fairly new, clean and the showers are hot. Excellent value.

Really good place! The caretaker is nice, good amenities (hot showers, toilets, sink, barbie, bins, water...) and quiet campground by the river in the nature! Paid for unpowered. Recommended!

Paid for an unpowered site with free hot showers, undercover BBQ, sink and powerpoints to charge phones. Absolutely love the place and the caretaker is awesome.

This campground doesn't have a lot of flat space available. The showers.... If you really need to take one I guess it could be ok .... But the toilets are disgusting! I wonder what they do with the money... Certainly not cleaning the place! there is an honestly box but a man came to get the money from us when we arrived (before we could check the facilities). 10 $ for 2 unpowered, seems cheap but not worth it.

Adequate basic facilities, beautiful setting, allowed to scavenge wood for fire in designated fire pits. Close walk to pub, and great cafe/general store. Lovely heritage river walk close by. Helpful caretaker. We enjoyed our 2 nights here.

Nice campground near the water, good showers, close to the local pub which brew their own beer. However price is $5 per person per night, plus $10 for a powered sight.
