FULLY equipped kitchen (oven, stove, barbecue, all the kitchen utensils, towels, bins,…), good WIFI and power outlets where you can charge devices. I just pulled up, got a site, extended my stay next day. Enough showers, hot water, clean bathroom facilities. Peacocks walking around, friendly but little bit blind dog. Quiet campsite, close to the mainroad, but you can’t hear it. Friendly owner!!
As it was season’s end (mid November) it was very quiet. It is a lovely, off grid, campsite with an excellent kitchen and showers, which were unexpected as we thought they weren’t for us. We stayed two nights and loved the site, loved the people, loved the walk and loved the get-together campfire every night. It would have been good to get out on the main bit of the station and to see the old homestead but it was just the wrong time of year. Brilliant!
Turned away by a teenager who said they were fully booked, despite us already parking in one of the many empty spaces on the campsite, and the sign on the gate saying they were open and had spaces. The 4km long dirt track is barely suitable for 2wd, we stayed at Big River Ranch which was much friendlier and has incredible facilities available.
Amazing campsite! Bathrooms and kitchen are clean, it‘s a very peaceful place next to a small river and there is an old shearing shed that you can have a look into and there is also goats that can be petted. Would defo recommend
Highly recommend this farm stay! $ for 2ppl right on the river. Cheapest we found in and around Kalbarri. 10km to the National Park so perfect spot to beat the crowds to the Skywalk and Natures Window. Clean amenities and camp kitchen. Lots of farm animals around-goats, geese, alpacas.
It’s open only from April to October.
A nice spot right on the river. Though, I hate corrugations in my 2WD so if you're anything like me, 4km of dirt road will make you nervous. We stayed here one night and then ended up going back to Big River Ranch up the road. Murchison house station is nice and rustic though, more secluded, etc. Bathrooms pretty basic.
The bathrooms are horrible. It seems like they are never cleaned. There are bugs everywhere, sand and dirt on the ground and the shower curtains stink.
Best camp ground far. Book in advance. Must do on the way north.
