Arrived at 8pm with a campervan, took a spot and paid the next morning. Is a 10km offroad ride. Doable with a non 4WD (just slower). A very nice farm/camping experience. An outdoor kitchen, hot showers, 2min walk to an amazing beach view. Real Aussie experience and very friendly owner. Recommende. No mobile phone signal.
Had some issues with the receptionist when we arrived, wasn‘t the nicest, we didn‘t really felt welcome! The road to the station wasn‘t really 2wd friendly, it‘s doable but further than the station definitely not. There‘s not much to do if you don‘t have a 4wd.
Stayed here for 1 night and really loved the experience. No swimming at this beach but loads of shells to collect, amazing experience with the kids. Also a very good spot for night photography. Powered sites are available up to 10.30pm with minimal Use of electricity
Awesome spot to stay and camp. Good facilities and great to watch the humpbacks from sea view spot. Facilities were super clean and well maintained. Road to the station is also easily reached by 2WD but corrugated so take care!
Dream spot. Beautiful seclusion, incredibly clean and with a beautiful beach. Camp kitchen is covered and shiny, everything works and it has a nice big dining table. On the beach you can also enjoy your meals thanks to a bar table with chairs. The hosts are very friendly and Betty is happy about everything from Germany, she emigrated years ago. Really a top spot for everyone who wants really lonely Australia.
Definitely a beautiful spot but the toilet and fly situation is not acceptable. When we arrived people were telling us that some get sick because of the flies and we thought it can't be too bad but when we left after three nights two of us were unwell (vomiting and diarrhoea). It's a stunning place but watch out for the flies, we definitely going to report it.
Had 3 nights recently which were very busy so ended up on the outer fringes. Peaceful but so far from facilities which were centrally located we had to drive to them. Queues for the few showers and lockable toilets. There were scattered "longdrop" toilets further out which I would normally be happy to use but the one near us was totally open and the door didn't lock. Deal breaker for me. I think if it had been not as busy I may have been happier as the location is amazing but 3 nights stretched it for me.
Telstra coverage if you are working on the road ??
Motorhomes and 2wd can also access this campsite. Road is unsealed but good. Good fishing 3 km north of the site. Mangrove Jacks in the shallow water.
Absolutely fine for 2wd. Fantastic bathrooms. We didn’t get an ocean view site so not so picturesque sitting around our camper. Nothing to do as you can’t swim or fish but there is a tennis court. Lots of seats along the beach so you can watch the sunset. Looked at point Quobba on the way back - I think I would have preferred it there. Nicer beach and you can swim.
