My favourite campground, site 5 looks out over the water and great place to put a tent. Huge pile of firewood I assume is free, no sign. Great campfire facilities and toilets easy to reach from every site.
Lovely place. The recent bush fire missed the camp area.
Great place to stay. Picnic table and fire ring in each site. Flat and cleared site. Clean long drop toilets. Free mill ends for fire wood. Nice walk along the blackwood river is well signed. Sites are varying distances apart - reasonably private between site 12 and 13 where we stayed. 15 sites total. Ranger present daily. Overall excellent and we will be back!
Bush camping among the trees. Each site has a BBQ pit and picnic table. 40 meters between many sites. Around 15 sites and many can fit the biggest rigs. The river is about 1 km from the furtherest sites and probably best to drive there. The river bank at the day visit area also has toilets a picnic table and BBQ. The river water looks clean enough but there are many fallen branches so no diving and general care needed. The toilets are dry composting type and they are very clean with no smell. The camp sites have no litter, none. The surface at the sites is fine dust Camp fees are $7.50 and $6.00 for seniors etc.
