Almost didn't go because of other reviews saying it was overrated. I disagree. I thought it was a great time! Go slow on the road leading up to it and you'll be fine. The water was great and even tho it was busy it didn't feel cramped. Would go again.

The whole road was super dirty and full of trash, it smelled bad and the water was horrible. There were people in the water, we assumed it was fine, but I wouldn't have even put my feet in there.

Went there because of a recommendation. Water is warm and you can take a bath as long as you don’t get the water in your mouth/nose/ear (you can get really sick due to bacteria) but the smell is horrible and sticks to your skin and clothes.

A very pleasant hot bath! DON'T PUT YOUR HEAD UNDERWATER ⛔ and rinse well after no burglary for us, enjoy this SPA

Nice view with warm stream.. But you need to be careful. We were attacked by sandflies in winter (our first time so we only realised afterwards)

Gravel road in but my tiny car did fine just go slow. Super preety and nice and hot.

The best hot water in NZ... And its free. Be sure to check out both waterfalls. For thieves, we recommend using a baby monitor app between two phones as data signal is strong here.

The road (old waiotapu rd) was closed with no explanation given so we couldn't go today. Not sure if this is a permanent or temporary thing.

It’s private RD You can only drive in half way but parking there and walk to the pool, but water is not hot just warm, gravely road you wish you are 4x4
