Lovely hike! Not too steep and the views from the top were great. Drop toilet at the parking lot available

The views up there are really beautiful. Also the track is not that steep, maybe only the last 20 minutes. It took me 1 hour to the summit and 45 minutes down. The carpark also seems good and safe now

Magnificent view at the top

Very up hill walk but no stairs which good. Nice view but think it's always misty at top so hard to take pics. Crater Lake is preety.

Well worth a hike to the top! However after reading the reviews here and seeing the broken glass shards on the ground at the carpark we followed the advice to use the Kerosene Creek carpark instead. That added time onto the walk and the drive (it's a bumpy road!) but we enjoyed the hike, the views and the friendly fire warden who let us take a look out from the balcony of his hut.

Broken windows + flights in cars and vans! Back from the hike ...

Warning ! Van pointed in the middle of the day even if the street is busy. They broke the windows with stones. My van + 3 other cars.

Broken windows and stolen business in the parking lot on the way back from the hike ... Perhaps it's wiser to start hiking the kerosene creek car park which is more crowded and can be safer.

Suggest to drive into kerosene creek for the hot water bath, just two mins away from the car park. Signs are set up by police to warn of high crime rate here but we did not encounter any suspicious people or movement. Generally safe if you lock your vehicle and keep valuables out of sight! Still highly recommended for a great free outdoor bath!
