Interesting couple of hours. Clear what you are going to see at the price point you choose. We saw 2 kiwi ( in captivity) the information boards were good and old school and some nice short videos. We were even tempted by the shop - which we normally resist.

Really nice place to visit rare specie of the Rowi Kiwi (less than 500 in N-Z). They raise the kiwi from the egg until they reache 1 year, the chance to survive rise from 5% until 70%. Lots of predators like stoat, cat, possum... You can see reals kiwi and learn about them for 35$ and see the backstage for 20 $ more. Really interesting. When the release the adults, they have a tracker on leg so if they move less than 2 hours, rangers know there is an egg ????
