Very disappointing experience. The reviews were good and we had heard positive things, but the reality was very different. They didn’t reply to our WhatsApp messages or emails, and nobody was there when we arrived. The bathrooms were dirty, with soaking wet floors, and the kitchen was unclean, with many things not working. The maintenance staff we encountered were unfriendly and sometimes rude. It’s a shame, but we definitely do not recommend this place.

Very beautiful place with everything you need available! Electricity, kitchen, bathroom with hot water, even a laundry corner 👍🏼 and all that at an affordable price!

Convenient and easy walking distance to restaurants. Information centre just across the road. Rates very good - better than less visited areas on North Island. Bathrooms clean. Sites surrounded by garden which make them private.

This place is absolutely lovely! The showers and kitchen are super convenient and always tidy. Plus, the views of the mountains and summit are simply breathtaking. It's easy to access, and the spots are perfect for RVs. You'll also find a dump station, clean water, and power sockets that are a breeze to use. Highly recommended! After a long day, grab a beer in the town centre - it's just a short walk.

We arrived spontaneously and the uncomplicated check-in was a real plus. The campsite is in a great location and nicely set up. You just have to be very careful if you're driving a campervan (ours is 7.8m long) to avoid hitting any stones when driving out.

Really cute campsite with private powered sites. Only downside is when we showered at 10pm the bathrooms needed some tlc (only 2 open cubicles for the whole site)

Perfect location! Camping in the heart of Franz Joseph, each location has privacy thanks to the hills and trees, everything is super clean. Spacious bathroom, there is even a dry hair girl side. Eviver with hot water and kitchen space. $20 for 1 person it is perfect

We really enjoyed it! The toilets and showers were very clean. There was even a hairdryer available if needed. The Wi-Fi worked well throughout the campsite, and self-check-in was easy. The kitchen is outdoors but functional. We were able to use the kettle and toaster for lunch. Several pitches are private, offering a sense of privacy.

Clean facilities, hot showers, lovely sites nestled in the bush for our Hi-Top van, best stay that we've had.
