HUGE camping area with smooth level grass. Can get boggy after heavy rain, but there is firm ground before the grassy area. We spent 2 lots of 3 nights here, and at the most there were 10 others staying. Don't forget to book online before you arrive, there is no phone signal.

Cerrado para el invierno! Retirado ayer, reservado, nada en el sitio web, después de pasar por ese pequeño puente y puertas de vuelta bloqueadas! Llamado DOC, después de conectar Starlink como no hay señal de teléfono aquí, habían cometido un error permitiendo las reservas, está oficialmente cerrado para el invierno, (aconsejado NZMCA). El puente! Oy vey! Estamos a 14 metros en total, atrapado y me tomó tres intentos haha! Fácil, sin embargo, cuando está abierto!! Zona muy pequeña para girar aunque si las puertas están cerradas, así que compruebe primero! TASMANTRAVELS

Es muy agradable. Pero un poco confuso. En el sitio de doc todo está bien. Frente al campamento hay una señal diciendo que está cerrado debido al robo. Pero aparte de eso todo lo demás parece estar bien. No hay absolutamente ninguna señal. Nos reservamos antes de llegar allí. Todo es hierba por lo que con una carrera pesada los neumáticos no van a tener una buena adherencia.

One of the best camping places, I have had so far because it was so quiet and in the middle of nature. But there is no Internet or signal.

Freshly mown grass and overall the site is very well presented. Despite the size it’s a quiet spot with only a few campers on a Friday night. Not sure why as it’s a beautiful spot. Bit of a hidden gem.

Got there pretty late due to delayed ferry but managed to pull up to a massive site and pitch up our rooftop tent and had a very quiet sleep. Flush toilets and water you can boil. $20 for 2 cash only.

Really beautiful large site. Only 2 other campers there. Flush toilets and running water. Secluded and peaceful. Bird song by day, silent starry skies by night. Soft grass, no mud when we were there mid January.

What a great spot! As described by others… too big an area to get busy, sunny and shady options, nice amenities, beauty river, no prob with bugs. Most birdsong I’ve heard in upper SI.
