This was absolutely beautiful! Super cold and snowed/hailed when we were there on 27.12.17 dress warm!

Drove there on a super cold and cloudy day. Entire place was covered in clouds could barely see whats ahead of us, so no scenery to be seen for us clouds & mist covered the entire area

We were here on a cold, cloudy spring day. We didn't have a chance to see much, but from what little we could see, it looked very close to the movie. We couldn't find the exact spot. Be prepared for a slow drive up the mountain. We had a campervan, so the drive was much slower than if you had a car. As you descend the mountain, Mangawhero Falls (Gollum's Pool) will be on the left side of the road. Easier to visit on the way down versus trying to cross traffic on the way up.

I've never watched movie.But super beautiful there!!!!!I was impressive!

Easily recognised the filming location. You can see it from the South end of the car park. Amazing views from up here too.

Buena vista sobre la montaña. Puedes ver las cascadas desde uno de los espacios de aparcamiento. Buen para un corto recorrido por la naturaleza similar a Mordor a su alrededor.
