Fue simplemente magnífico! Si te gustan los paisajes montañosos y especialmente LOTR ... Este es el lugar perfecto. Mi recorrido favorito de NZ. Sin embargo, se merece porque es bastante difícil, no hay camino trazado pero Campermate es suficiente para orientarte. Fuimos allí a finales de enero, había algunas manchas de hielo y nieve que podíamos circular fácilmente. Alrededor de 5 horas de recorrido, habiendo tomado el elevador de sillas

Dejamos el primer ascensor a pie para dar un paseo por el río Mordor con una pequeña botella de agua.Y finalmente subimos a la puerta de Mordor.Fue muy agotador pero está hecho.Alrededor de 2:15 para llegar a la cima pero vale la pena.Una vista mágica de la montaña del destino.

It's a difficult hike (dangerous even) to Mt Ruapehu without a guide, but just keep an eye on the groups that take off in the morning and follow their footsteps. The view from the top (and anywhere in between, really) make you feel so puny in this world. Have good footwear, drink and food with you! Plus, don't forget the sunscreen - UV is stronger in the mountains!

You can easily imagine the movie "Lord of the Rings" with the scenes from Mordor if you stand at this crater. As is Frodo ist just about to walk by.
