Little disapointement just before finishing round the mountain trek (which was amazing and recomendable), there was na water, so no waterfalls :D

Disappointed. First it goes up steeply and then down steeply. Got wet feet in the swamp. The other waterfall further up the road is closer and also nicer.

Great hike even in bad weather, easily accessible and pretty quick to accomplish in a morning.

Amazing hike. To reap the full beauty of the waterfall, you need to jump the rocks upstream. It is possible to get right up the waterfall. Good footwear is essential!

Fyi: atm, road access up the mountain is restricted to vehicles with all-wheel drive / those carrying snow chains.

Nice walk to warm up, after that do the hike 10 mins down the road! Great and easy walk with good access to both ends of a huge waterfall!

If you continue on this track you’ll reach the turn off to Blythe Hut which makes a great three hour return hike.

Waterfall is nothing special, very little water. The walk is nice and short and if weather is nice the view of Mt. Ruapehu is nice.
