Il mio partner e io abbiamo camminato su questo sentiero alle 7:30 del mattino. Ci sono voluti circa 2 ore lì (arrestandoci presso gli altri lookout sulla strada e prendendo foto) e 1 ora per tornare. Il sentiero era scivoloso e bagnato in alcuni luoghi, forse rendendo difficile per la persona normale completare questo, anche avendo a metà scalare le rocce a causa delle rocce scivolose. I primi 2/3 del sentiero sono sentieri inclinati, scale o rocce. L'ultimo 1/3 è fondamentalmente un sentiero di capra. È stato un'escursione piuttosto difficile ma vale la pena le viste mozzafiato

Not for the faint of heart. You need to be relatively fit or prepared to spend 3-4 hrs taking your time. It’s a beautiful track but steep in spots. The first part around the lake is mostly flat and then you get stairs and a gradual incline and then you get the goat track for 2/3s. Avoid doing it in the rain like I did as it’s treacherous. Beautiful views of Wanaka and surrounding mountains. I have an old map book from 2015 that says scenes from Rivendell were shot there but that’s unconfirmed.
