Definitely continue up towards Mt Isobel for great views over valleyý just after 10mins there's the first lookout opening and others follow.the best ones to the other side with mountains await over the ridge I almost quit before when I saw the icy snow but it wasn't that bad and well worth the climb when you already made it that far! After the very peak I went easily down to Jack's pass- really scenic descend with setting sun.
O sinal diz caminhar 1,5 horas.
Quite steep in places but not too difficult. It took us 1 hour to reach the falls and 40 minutes back down (sign in car park says 2.1km 1h30m to the falls). Not the most spectacular waterfall but still worth the walk.
Not worth the walk! Extremely steep be prepared and the sign says 2.1K 1 hour 30 minutes but that’s one way not return! Expect 3 hours! It’s very hard
For people who like to physically go a bit beyond their limits, curse and have fun, the NATURE and SPUR TRAIL is great. Have a mediocre fitness. This starts a parking lot in front of the waterfall. Parking left, trail right off gravel road, which is good to drive. The path to the waterfall over the trails is super steep, only through the forest with no view, but for which you have no time anyway, because you have to see where you step and how to get over certain areas (muddy, slippery, often on Abyss ). It's really fun. After the nice waterfall you should still direction Mt. Isabelle, because there you can enjoy the great view.
The waterfall is not spectacular, but climb another 15 minutes. Then you have a really great view
Super cool experience! We walked from Alpine Holiday Park the whole way up :D (although the car park was still open hehe) which took us - with return and one hour at the waterfall - 6 hours in total. The water is ice cold though ? recommended if you plan in some time for a great sporty adventure
The gravel road is closed for now so you have to walk there it took us 45mins to reach the parking cascades and then 1h20 to see the waterfalls.
It's nice but nothing too special. Not a lot of water. The carpark is set at 500m the waterfall is at around 900m so you have to climb around 400m. I would recommend after watching the fall to climb another 100/150m to have a nice view onto hanmer springs. Maybe even go to Mt. Isobel since you are already half way up.
Beautiful hidden waterfall but super exhausting hike
