Don‘t get the hate, the campsite has direct access to the beach, clean kitchen/bathrooms, free Wifi and good facilities. Hot showers are 2$ however the price is pretty fair for that. Owners are really friendly too :)

Old, untidy, lots of long-term campers, not enough shade. Not good for the mood

Really lovely place. I can’t believe the review before mine said it was awful. There were a few people there including those who appeared to be long-term folks and it was so quiet! Best camping ground sleeps we’ve had. We got a great fenced off powered site so perfect for our two dogs - most relaxed they’ve been at a camping group. Lovely walks in the bush and beach right next to us. Very clean toilets, showers and kitchen and friendly staff and campers. Glad we stayed there instead of Christchurch. Great stuff!
