Nothing like what we expect from a Big4 partner. Clean amenities but being next to main road there is lots of road noise. Bus exchange over road so good for public transport to Canberra and supermarkets within walking distance. Unreliable internet.
Veey unsafe! Open gates and right in the middle of towm. There is plenty of junkies around. Terrible. Skip
Functional Park. Everything clean and in order. Stayed 1 night with campervan.
Park has reopened: https://www. Big4. Com. Au/caravan-parks/nsw/capital-country/queanbeyan-riverside-caravan-park
Park temporarily closed for major rebuild. Check Queanbeyan Palerang Regional Council website for details.
Website says park is permanently closed
Tried here 35.00 non power no kitchen and no wi fi expensive parking and shower
$35 for a powered site during peak (mid Jan). Each site has access to water tap and a drain. Toilets and showers where very clean. Washing machines are $4 a load. Clothes lines, washing machine/ dryers, BBQ. Easy access to the river. Very close to town and only meters to shopping and restaurants. Bus depot right across the road. Access to the park itself is easiest for those travelling West (from Waniassa St, Ford St towards Collette St). This is due to a traffic island. #Beachbushandbackroads.
Can reserve over the phone if you're coming in after 6:30, good restrooms with showers and laundry on site - a good stop to freshen up for the night
Non powered tent site now $32 for a piece of hard dirt down by the river. No camp kitchen, no WiFi, toilets sort of clean i.e. Not really. Bbq outdoor under canopy. For the price its a pretty expensive shower because that's all your getting. Not sure how they call the river beautiful either, maybe in the summer its different. If the price was $25 and under I would be ok but not $32 for nothing.
