Location is awesome! Close to town, beach and river. As others have said, the amenities are old but everything was clean. $57 a night for a powered site in September No wifi as far as we could tell
Really good spot next to the lake. It has an amazing coast walk that you can literally start from inside the camping area. It was 47,50$ for unpowered site. Booking needed and not the best camp kitchen.
Stayed here for 3 nights. Overall we are really happy with the park. The amenities are older but clean. The camp kitchen is basic. The site was big enough for us as we only have a teardrop van. Staff were very friendly and on arrival sent us off to pick which site we liked the look of from what were available. Great walkways to beaches very close by. Town is right outside the gates. If your not looking for a bells and whistles park and is dog friendly, then this is great.
We booked this for over Christmas from UK and even though we explained we were travelling so only needed a few nights minimum booking was 7 nights. We only ended up spending 3 nights there because it wasn’t as good as expected as highlighted below. Nightly rates was one of highest paid in three weeks and we felt not value for money Although plots were reasonable sized every one used plots to maximum and didn’t seem to use the policy we saw elsewhere of all facing in same direction so when we sat outside our van we were looking into 3 other families plots/dining/living areas and the same back, so we spent more time inside than we wanted. Showers were in individual cabins which was ok but not enough at that time we often had to wait for showers or toilets to be free, the floors were often wet and therefore dirty. They did provide mops but they didn’t seem to be used. No camp kitchen near our plot all In central location thus you would have to walk a few minutes to get food to your plot. Beaches are great and close, other facilities, shops etc. Are very close too but many were closed over Christmas. This was the only place where we were warned about locking up items due to theft through we didn’t witness any. Just generally disappointing
This is a great place. Close to everything you need in Yamba. Also really liked the private toilet and shower. Only downside is that the wifi doesn’t work. They will tell you that it only works close to the reception, but not even inside the reception it works :( But if you don’t need wifi then this is a great spot. We even extended our stay one extra night
Perfect for staying during night. Bathroom and toilet very clean. It was easy to make the reservation, you can arrive late ??
Very nice camp for a waterfront stay. It’s cheaper if you go and ask in person at the office. Recommended
Stayed 3 nights in a tent on river front (spot103). Loved it. Other travelers friendly whether they were surfers sleeping in their Vans or Grey Nomads in large caravans. There is a bike/walking path between the camp spots and the river but passing people are respectful and friendly. Ground staff friendly and helpful too. Walking distance to all the best of Yamba. Fantastic coffee, open early, right outside the front gate. Farmers' market at the end of the camp grounds on Wednesday mornings. We would definitely come here again. Bookings probably a necessity, we were here mid week, off season and the place was fairly full.
Beautiful campsite on the river. Really friendly staff. Clean amenities
