Great, very remote campsite. The Wi-Fi was very good. There's a small, nice shop and a cafe/restaurant in the village, but otherwise it's very quiet. There's access to the beach and, on the other side, a quiet access to the creek. The staff was very friendly. We hiked the Korogoro Walking Track, which is highly recommended; the views are incredible!

Such a great park/location! Powered sites are in the middle of park have shade. Best sites along creek are unpowered. Make sure you bring your kayak/SUP/noodle, the creek is amazingly beautiful.

Great campsite. Fantastic location. Unfortunately we were only here for 2 nights, would have liked to have stayed (much) longer. The sanitary facilities could use a refresh. Otherwise there is nothing to complain about! With the river on one side and the sea on the other, the course is surrounded by water. Kangaroos are not far either. There are beautiful viewpoints in the immediate vicinity. We will come back!

Spent 10 days recently at Hat head well spread out park with good amenities . Park surrounded by great beach and tidal creek , great for families and dog friendly!!!!

I loved Hat Head. It was very busy, but I never waited for amenities, had a decent amount of space to camp, and was able to spend quite a lot of time in my kayak between the beach and lagoon.

Stayed 2 weeks in and enjoyed the sunny days and cold mornings. Great place to explore. The Gap, beach, creek and Korogoro Mt are all within a short walk. Fishing was pretty good with a few tailor. You need a permit to drive on the beach to South West Rocks. Friendly staff and well maintained park.

Nice location, good amenities, we didnt stay very long so not much to say. There was nothing amazing about this campsite, but I can't say anything bad either.

I know it’s the school holidays and everywhere is busy, but we’ve stayed in several parks this holiday season and none felt this over-populated. In this one they just pack people in like sardines. It is very loud, not because people are exceptionally noisy, but due to the sheer amount of people around, who are all camped way too close to each other. There is a long line to use the amenities, which are quite dirty (cleaning once a day just won’t do for this many people using it). I think park management shouldn’t have let this many people camp here. It’s a shame cause the beach it’s located along is pretty.

There are barbecues but only one tiny kitchenette. Would be ok for those who are entirely self contained. Nice location close to beach with resident kangaroos.

Very pleasant campsite. A pitch with electricity costs $38. A beautiful beach is right next door, and there are lovely walks with splendid views of Hat Head National Park (accessible on foot from the campsite). You might even see whales offshore (during the season) and kangaroos during the hike. The restrooms are very well maintained, with hot showers. Checkout is at 10 a.m., but if you want to go on the hike early in the morning, you can park in a nearby lot and use the showers/toilets after your hike. I highly recommend it.
