A fantastic place, not just because of the incredible natural surroundings, but everything is great: the kitchen, the showers, the toilets, the pitches... the staff are incredibly kind and helpful. The hot springs are just a few minutes' walk away. And above all, be there on a Sunday evening for the open-air movie night... Brilliant!
4 star 😀 Large gravel sites, potable bore water, clean ammenities, helpful staff. Close to Bitter Springs Thermal Springs. Quiet and safe, about 5 minutes out of main part of town. This is our second stay at Bitter Springs Note, No pre bookings taken, best to arrive before lunch to get a good site. Most people depart between 9-10.30 am 😀
Amazing campground. Unpowered sites are river-front, and whilst the remaining sites aren’t, they are just as nice! Super clean amenities. Extremely friendly staff. Attention to details. Pets are welcome and also welcome to stay unattended at your site whilst you visit the springs. There is also a dog sitter available if needed. Highly recommend!
Nice spot. The springs are lovely. Friendly managers. The website says they take bookings, but they don’t. Just arrive and get a spot.
Simple site with good and clean facilities, well kept. Unfortunately the springs were still closed, but that has nothing to do with the campground.
Great spot. does not take bookings, so depending on the time of year it pays to get in early (sometimes booked out by 11am). Short (500m) walk to the springs, but can drive if you want. Great shower and toilet cubical.
A fantastic spot if you want ease. We parked up, set up on a powered site and strolled 10 min to the springs. So nice to bring your floaty/ noodle and let e stream take you down the natural hot springs. It’s beautiful. So nice to be able to walk there and back easily. Family friendly and lots of grey nomads here, as it’s very accessible. Powered site was fab, shady and roomy. Toilets and showers were ok, not many but we survived ?
? unless you want to drive around to look at other sights etc we found 1/ 2 nights ideal here unless you love warm water in hot territory...Would love it down south :) and agree with others re Mataranka (more suitable for extremely social or 5⭐️people as it was crammed in the springs and structured.
Awesome spot would highly recommend
Good camping spots among the trees and a short 10 minute walk to the beautiful natural springs for a swim. However, the bathroom facilities are poor with very limited hot water. Not recommended for the camping fees charged, unless you choose to shower in your van.
