We are staying at the Lazy Lizard Caravan Park in Pine Creek and I rode my e-bike up to the lookout today. I was surprised to find the viewing platforms and the information panels regarding the gold mine, very informative. It is only about 1.5 kms from the entrance to the top and it is a reasonable bitumen road that is easily accessible by walking, bike riding or a motor vehicle. It is not practical to take a caravan up to this lookout, you cannot turn a caravan around.
Definitely worth the stop if you’re passing through Pine Creek! An old gold mine filled with water, beautiful at sunset. Has information regarding the history up the top. Cannot take caravans up here, too steep.
Drove up the local town lookout to see this view. Signed “Lookout” from the road.
Not worth the efford. There was nothing. Also there was a sign saying you re not allowed to enter. Dont go!
Not really worth a trip but interesting. Years ago there was that big goldmine. Now its filled with water. Can't imagine how deep that was
