We gave up after few km with our 2WD campervan. Begins as pavement with lots of potholes and progresses to dirt road that is difficult to navigate. Needed to cross a few dry creek beds and some large puddles. Maybe 4WD would have more success.
Just awful road in. 22kms of shockingly corrugated dirt and we gave up after 6kms in our campervan. 4WD is a must if you’re going to attempt this. For us after driving less than half that distance to Maguk I couldn’t see the reward being as good
Campground wise basic. Very nice spot though
Beautiful, quite, lots of shades. 3.3$ per Adult, children half. The 18km Long gravel road is in good condition and our 2WD camper had no problems at all.
Sealed road just the first km's. Most of the 22km road is unsealed!
This is one of my favourite places in NT mainly because it's really quiet. The gorge might not be as flashy as other gorges but it's pretty enough and a nice croc-free place to swim. The campground is about a 15 minute walk from the swimming holes and doesn't have much amenities but again really quiet and lots of shade!
