40km out of Katherine. Plenty of room but you’re camping on a flood way so it’s a mix of hard and soft ground and ok for 20’ vans with some clearance. Also lots of fire wood with some road noise it’s good for a day or two free camping
Very rocky, very uneven Not great for 2wd We didn’t stay
Super quiet, very idyllic and conveniently located 2WD also works if you are careful
Saw my first Croc in the wild. He was only a small freshie and took off when we got close. What a buzz.
We camped here before heading up to Edith Falls. (Just after train tracks!) Good spot.
Stayed there with few other cars. A bit of noise from road so try to park as far a you can. Some spot are not really flat. Really good spot for a night. No facilities so take everything with you
Still open nice place before Katherine. And swimming at Edith falls
Great site for the night, if you are 2WD be careful as some parts can be a little questionable. Very beautiful and quiet
There is a spot on the other side of the road, on the road to the falls, left hand side. Pretty good for a night before or after visiting the falls.
Not a free camp (0 amenities) Aboriginal people came around 6pm to inform us we were not allowed to stay there. Besides, there was a bush fire last night, so we had to leave.
