The positive aspect is the location: a beautiful view of Kings Canyon! The camp kitchen only has barbecue blocks for grilling. There are no cooking facilities. We had to cook in our camper. And the shower light automatically turned off. I had to get out of the shower naked for the light sensor to detect me. For $75 a night, it's truly shameful. I've stayed at much cheaper campgrounds with better facilities.
70$ for one night with tow persons for a powered site with water. Nothing special, but a wonderful view over Kings Canyon and preinstalled Camping tables with benches. The toilets/showers were clean and good maintained. It is really just around the corner of the parking of Kings Canyon. Even if pricey, I would recommend. The WiFi didn't work at our spot. We were there in September, no need to reserve.
Large caravan park with large sites. Plenty of clean amenity blocks. 2 dump points (one was full) Great view of Kings Canyon. Dingos wander the campground at night. Bar with a sunset viewing area. Coloured light towers visible from the campground. Service station, groceries and a pub with good meals close by.
This location is wrong—it’s ~30 km past Kings Creek Station, or ~5 km past the turnoff for Kings Canyon Rim Walk. I paid $59 for an unpowered site, which I found a bit outrageous, but the facilities are nice and the location hard to beat. There’s a breakfast buffet in a nearby restaurant. It cost me $35, open 6 AM to 10 AM, and was a good deal. Professional staff, good wifi and cell service. There’s plenty of ways to spend lots of money here: fancy dinners, helicopter tours, art walks, etc.
We stayed at Kings Canyon resort for three nights in our caravans on powered sites. All of the amenities were immaculately clean and modern. Great camp kitchen set ups all through the park. Must do’s are - Afternoon sunset drinks on the viewing platform ? Dinner - Under the Desert Moon was an awesome experience with an amazing atmosphere around an open fire, the food was outstanding and the wines that accompanied each course were perfect. There was also a bar and grill where we had evening meals which had the best pork ribs and a great atmosphere. You need to spend at least 3 nights to explore and enjoy all there is on offer.
Wrong address details. 30-40 min further.
Bad position, you have to drive about 15 minutes more. Very nice location
