A fantastic, huge campsite full of interesting animals! Some if the facilities were closed due to the time of year (end of season) but the pool was open and absolutely wonderful. We camped in a 4WD rooftop tent under a beautiful Banyan Tree - stunning. Very friendly and helpful managers.
I loved this place, the animals, Les and Sarah (not the owners) they are working there, we did hang out with Les a lot, feeding the animals with him, we did learn some things about the animals, helping him put op a fence, we had such a lovely time with you! The pool is nice, but otherwise it feels a bit deserted, and you're on your own, It would have been lovely if everything shown on the map was still open, it have so much potential!
Closed until Easter.
It's truly amazing. I've never seen so many workables in one place! Plus other animals, quite surroundings and great pizza. Hard to compare to other crowded and small campsite, the best paid one I've been in. Give it a go, you'll not regret it!
A hidden gem at Adelaide River! Just 3 km out of town, secluded from the noise of Stuart Highway but still close enough to the General Store. Large sites for all types of Campers, even the largest rig will fit. We stayed in a perfect shaded site underneath a gunjum tree.... Awesome. Amenities are Outback Style, hot showers with good pressure. The refreshing pool is marvelous.... A real cool down on a hot day and filled with crisp clear water. Nice bar and restaurant in the evening with fresh baked pizza... Yummy! 34$ for powered site with 2 adults. Very good cell phone coverage with Yes Optus 4G network.... Good for YouTube video. We booked for 2 nights and stayed for 5.
Awesome place to stay. Loads of wildlife and horses, buffalos, a pig and donkeys. Heaps of space, clean and super friendly staff. The pizza is the burner.
