5 star ⭐️ great place to base yourself for a few nights to see the area. Book well ahead only 6 “powered sites”, no water connection, no dump point, no sulage, sites are level gravel. Good flush toilets and hot showers. Note TO FIND CAMPSITES. PARK IN THE MIDDLE OF THE PARKING AREA,, go into CAFE the staff there look after the campground and will assist you. 😀
Absolute gem of a place! Tranquil space right at the start of the Standley Chasam trails. Lovely staff and excellent cafe 😋 very reasonable price and first night includes entry fee to Chasam. 100% privately owned Aboriginal enterprise. Was a beautiful place to base ourselves and explore the rest of the Larapinta Trail. Beware!! Was quite cold at night so rug up! (we were here in May). Stars were incredible and made it all worth it though. Wish we had longer to enjoy!! ☺️
Small campground. Powered sites are part of the car parking area. Toilets are clean and shared with day visitors. There are 2 showers and a free washing machine to use. You have access to the chasm anytime. The indigenous family who run the store and cafe are lovely and very accommodating.
No complaints. $12 per adult to hike in, $25.50 to camp unpowered, which includes the hike. Second night is cheaper, only $16.50. Good wifi, strong cell service, showers, toilets, and a cramped, threadbare kitchen. The cafe is average, but probably refreshing for anyone hiking the Larapinta Trail. Time your hike for midday for the best photos.
growling plek.
Loved it! Amazing views and worth the entry fee. Try go at midday for the best sun and photos
Great spot for night or 2, amenities extremely clean, cafe area great, owners so helpful
Easy-going and friendly staff. Very clean amenities - only 2 showers but it didn't bother us as there were not too many people. The food and coffee was really delicious!
The walk is nice but I wouldn't pay again (a bit expensive) unless I was doing one of the bigger walks. I was with my Granny so we could only do the short walk.
