We hiked Ormiston Pound. It's a long walk along the mountainside. The trail isn't difficult, but it's long and not particularly spectacular. The impressive waterhole only appears towards the end of the hike and was chest-deep for us to wade through. You should have good footing, as you often have to walk over boulders. To avoid the very long trail, simply head towards "Waterhole & Gorge". You'll be right at the water and can hike deeper into the gorge.

Did The Pound Track today. What a beautiful walk. You go anti clockwise slowly winding your way up the hills. Come to the highest point of the walk you have 360° views all around. Wander back down to the river bed and walk through the bottom of the gorge. At this time there was a recent flooding so you have to walk through one small section of water in the shaded gorge. There were warning signs posted at the beginning of the trail to let you know in advance. Brrr that was cold but 100x worth it for me. Took us just under 4 hours with view point breaks and lots of photo taking. (20s, reasonably fit)

Really nice place. Short work to the waterhole for swimming. 1.5 h walk for the lookout loop, 20 min walk to the lookout, 3-4 hours walk over mountains and in the gorge (best one)

Short and easy walk to the waterhole, that still had some water in it. The water was quite green though, same for the water from the drinking water tap.

The gorge was very pretty, but unfortunately tiring because of the many flies. The gum tree walk was quite nice, it took us about an hour (with photos).

Awesome 3h Walk around the Pound, beautiful view at the beginning over ther Pound and nice walk through the Gorge at the end (if you go anti-clockwise). Well worth it and dont miss the Gum tree Lookout!
