It’s okay, deep in the forest next to a river/sump - mozzys! No reception, hence book in advance. 7$/pp
After this last bought of rain the roads in are pretty big potholes around the state forest area (from cattle grid onwards) but with was such a nice place to park we ended up staying 2 nights. The ranger does check so make sure you’ve paid up! We didn’t try the showers as it was FREEZING the week we went 3deg overnight and we believe they’re cold showers only. But didn’t test to be sure
A great little spot. The Gravel road for about 7km going in was surprisingly good after all the rain we just had. A peaceful couple of nights with walks along the waterholes spotting lace monitors and so much bird life. Flush toilets and showers. Bring your own water. No fires.
Lovely little spot. Enjoyed the walking tracks although bits were bit overgrown. Toilets don’t have lights. My dog loves camping for some reason he just couldn’t settle here.
Beautiful place but personally wouldn't stay/pay to stay here again, the facilities were grim to say you have to pay.
Beautiful stay here at Wongi waterholes. . Peaceful. Nice walks along the waterhole. They say no drinking water but the toilets got tank water and it tastes alright ?
Ditto directions. Big and flat and full of shading eucalyptus trees. Water holes lovely for a swim. Went skinny dipping as not a sole here but us. Made it in with a caravan but if you come in the long way, can't recommend 2W unless dry season.
Awesome spot. Google maps took me a crazy way, not super well signposted. If travelling north on the Bruce hway take first sign for Wongi State Forest Park (not second) this is Warrah road. 20/25 mined rice straight in. Gravel road, I did it in my car but slowly. Cold showers, (no drinking water), toilets and picnic benches all fine. Waterholes lovely, had the place almost to myself. Would stay again.
