We felt so at home! Facilities were top notch. $2,50 felt like a steal, so we paid $10. Wish we could stay a few days, so we’ll have to go back at some point.

Spent 3 days here with my daughter had a excellent time the care takers very nice and look after you and show you were to find opal once you start looking you can't stop 😂 hot shower and flushing toilets all for $2.50 a night can't wait for my next visit next year

Love it, great camp hosts Jim and Tracey, so helpful. Great free 8am guide around by Glenn with enjoyable 4pm tall tales with cool fellow campers around the info spot. Found fairy opal but popular with bird lovers too… Mostly great dirt road in when dry :)

Lovely place. Fire fed hot showers and fluching toilets, plenty of fire wood in the scrub. For cheap price and WiFi by donation too. Apparently there a tour of the opal fields/fossicking area. But we had to leave early. To catch the dinosaur stampede tour in the opalton town

Awesome camping along with some opal fossicking. We were lucky enough to find a nice opal. We be back again. Shower is heat by fire so remember to light this before your shower.

Yes great little spot can fossick for opals and shower toilet available. Reasonable fee per person and wifi on donation. Postie comes to town Thursdays and little shop selling bread etc 8-9am.

Great campsite with a very good shower and clean toilet. You can take a warm shower if you light a fire behind the toilet. Wifi for donation and the price per night per person is very reasonable.
