Went during school holidays - nice and busy. Camp kitchen is super basic (sinks, BBQs and gas burners but nothing else - which isn’t bad as there were no spiders/snakes/dirty pots and pans laying around like other places we’ve stayed). Staff are super friendly. WIFI is not good.
The campground is really beautiful amongst the tree ferns but the use of space is not well managed- theyve got do so much space but we were all packed in so tightly in unpowered I’m just glad the neighbours were quiet and no kids. Powered sites were all pretty cLose to each other too. Amenities were not clean in the evenings as this place was full, the staff were overrun and must just clean once a day in the mornings. When it’s not busy I imagine it would be lovely and youde be lucky to see it.
Amenities and camp kitchen basic at best. Big campsite, busy & noisy on weekends. A bit better during the week. Met some lovely people while staying and good access to visitor centre for beautiful walks. Bring everything you need as small store v limited. General store in Rolleston also very limited so best shop in bigger town before heading down.
Beautiful location, clean facilities. Campsite backs onto the creek where platypus live. Also plenty of wildlife roaming throughout the grounds. Great lookout on-site with view of the gorge which is a nice spot for sunset or sunrise. Price was a little high - charged for non powered site for 2 people. But perfect location for gorge access.
Amazing! Absolutely loved this place. Bathrooms are modern and clean. Hot water and water pressure perfect! BBQ and washing up areas super clean. Overall camp site was pretty perfect. We saw so much wildlife, bathed in the rock pools and had camp fires each night!
Beautiful camping among the trees, with a series of 'circles' like villages that make the enormous grounds still seem intimate. Each circle has a communal kitchen with multiple sinks and BBQs, as well as their own secure amenity block. It's a great choice for exploring Carnarvon Gorge. We'd stay again for sure.
Lovely spot, staff are very helpful... Price is a little high but very good hot showers and clean toilets. Would say again if going to gorge
Excellent! Clean amenities, helpful staff, close to the gorge.
This place is great! Spacious sites and excellent clean amenities and lots of em! Good camp kitchens too. The natural wildlife is amazing! Echidnas, platypus, wallabies and Roos! They have happy hour and a talk on all the Gorge walks which we found very helpful. Excellent base if you want to see the Gorge only a 4 min drive away!
A great place. Perfect for hiking. Very quiet with great bathroom and kitchen. Kangaroos come very close. Not the cheapest but one of the best.
