Book in advance, as no phone or internet service at camp sites. Small camp sites, a few of them are able to fit a camp trailer. We had a 3x3 marquee and 2x sleeping pods on a 6x5m camp block. There are toilets, but no shower facilities. No power, it's the way camping should be!! The dam is full of redclaw yabbies, so bring a kayak and pots. ONLY use vegetables for bait, potatoes, sweet potatoes, rock melon and watermelon work very well. Release the native blue claws and juveniles, common sense people. The road from the highway to Paluma is narrow bitumen and winding, would not recommend a large van! From Paluma to the dam is again narrow and winding, but also slippery dirt\mud so take care. We had one mosquito sighted, so that was great! Will return there very soon as it was a fun weekend experience.
