Not shower, but is a nice place for camp and fish here
Free but needs to be booked through Townsville council website. Flushing toilets, drinking water, covered seating, electric bbqs, fishing, playground, 48hr max stay. Fish and chip shop open daily.
Great free camp near the sea, ideal for fishing! Remember to take mosquito repellent, they are voracious in the evening. Clean toilets on site, but no showers. Don't forget to book online via the city's website before arriving!
Nice spot close to the beach. You can hear the waves at night. We arrived at about 6pm (June) and there was one space left. So I would recommend getting there early if possible. Toilets were clean. No private showers though, only the cold outdoor one.
Great free campsite with sea view so inevitably a few mosquitoes! It is better to arrive early because there are not many pitches and even if you need authorization either on the internet (the link is in the comments) or by scanning the QR code at the entrance I think you are not guaranteed to have a spot... because there is no barrier at the entrance. There are picnic tables, barbecues, games for children. The toilets are clean but no hot showers.
Very good location with a bit of space. The shower is right next to the children's playground and is cold. Otherwise, the water is not drinkable, which is a shame. The toilets are clean but there are a lot of mosquitoes, especially in the morning.
There is an entrance with a height of 2.4m, but 2 km along the main road there is another entrance and there is no bridge there. Don't forget to register.
Free camping on the beach, no safety net so you can't swim. Lots of sand flies and mosquitoes and black cockatoos.
Sandflies by the hundreds. We stayed 10 minutes. Mosquito nets are useless.
Nice pitch, no electricity so it can get very hot, especially because you can't open the doors because there are hundreds of mosquitoes. You must register in advance through Townsville City Council.
