Spacious, quiet, clean. Potable water tap, BBQ, picnic tables. Has to be booked for free through Townsville website - this was the only one I could find that had sites available on the day.
It's a good place to camp, there are people, no noise, and plenty of space. However, we did encounter the most venomous snake in the world. Nothing to worry about, but be careful with the toilets.
Perfect free camp. Lot of space. Toilet, dump station, water, BBQ grill and picnic tables.
The southern entrance to the campsite is height restricted (2.4m). Take the other exit from Bruce Highway to the north of the campsite to enter the campsite with a campervan.
As a solo traveler, I felt safe!
Arrived at 5 p.m. and no cars on the pitches. Lots of mosquitoes, which makes it impossible to open the windows without mosquito nets and without ventilation, very difficult to sleep in the heat. Otherwise, the place is very quiet.
Super clean not busy & not many mosquitoes! Lots of frogs but they are gone by 10pm! Free bbqs & lovely bathrooms
Best camping. 10/10.
Nice quiet campsite and no bridge limiting the height of the camper.
only way in is a via a height restricted bridge ( 2.4 meters) which was obviously too big for our SC camper!!!!
