Loved the campsite and how rustic it was! Dave is a cracking man and really made us feel welcomed. Couple of horses roaming around to meet and stroke, also great place for kids - huge grass area in the middle for footy/rugby and a communal fire pit. Toilets are compostable so has a smell but other than that amazing!
Stayed 5 nights and loved the place. The communal firepit is a great place to meet people and share stories. Dave is an awesome host and quite a character. The camping areas are large with plenty of room for everyone. There are toilets and fresh water. Thoroughly recommend the experience. Lots of attractions nearby. We will be back. 5⭐
Planned to stay one night. Ended up staying three. Dave is very friendly and helpful. He offered good helpful suggestions. We were able to leave our van and do great day trips. Will be visiting again.
Before entering the camp we stopped to see the sunset right next to the camp and then before we enter the park we called the manager and ask to sleet the there and he said that is ok after we, paid and parked where we were told and went to sleep. At 8:00 am we were still a sleep the manager knock on the car and ask us to leave immediately , because we came after sunset the night before (after we called to ask if it's all right to camp there ). He gave us a speech about how backpackers are bad and how because of us he won't give backpacker to sleep there ,all we did was to came after sunset. Fill like this man had allot of criticism to backpackers and he decided to blame us for everything.
Great spot to base yourself for exploring the tablelands. No power but potable water is available. There are ‘long drop’ toilets and a ‘rustic’ cold shower. You’ll be made very welcome in this friendly bush camp which can accommodate rigs of any size. Dave the owner does his damper and at times there is also a traveling musician. Each morning, just after sunrise, hot air Balloons pass overhead, they sometimes land on the property.
Great place to camp. No showers but toilets are ok. Dave, the owner is a wonderful host. Camp fire at night and Dave's stories super. Loved it.
