3 kilometres into access road came across deep sand drift across both tracks. Able to turn around with camper at track fork. Definitely for experienced 4WD vehicles and drivers. First 3 is good road...deceiving.
There is a road into the rock pools and mary beach further between here and free camp into free mary beach or rock-pool. Must have just been graded as road was pretty good (except for short stints of extra rutty )wiki reviews made it sound really bad
Say a prayer for your shockers as the back half of the trail to the beach camps is super corrugated. Camp grounds were nice. No facilities but fine for free campers would don’t mind roughing it. Some soft sand sections around the back end, too. $12.50 for sites past the info board but I’m sure the conservation park area before the signage is free.
You don’t want to try and bring a caravan or a camper van into the creek ,only camper trailers being towed with a 4wd or 4wd and a tent ,no toilet no bins ,just a shade hut ,very shallow water in the creek but at the mouth it’s reasonable fishing ,the tracks in are a bit rough
If you want to give your vehicles’ shocks a good workout, go for it on these heavily corrugated roads. Beautiful scenery tho.
