You must book a site online prior to arrival. Camp sites aren’t allocated. You can choose ocean views or grassed area with some shade, depending on availability. We stayed during off peak so had the pick of the park. No power or water. Public toilets provided and dog friendly. Care takers extremely friendly and easy to deal with. The ocean is just stunning and great for beach fishing if you can’t be bothered walking to the jetty. Great little spot!
It's a good spot, over priced for a bit of ground. Too dear at $15/night/ person, no water no showers. It's public toilets and bbq. Self contained it's great. For comfort go to a caravan pk. The council took over, charges $9 to $15. For a family of 4 your better of at a caravan park with showers, laundry BBQ common cooking area. I stoppeg going after Jan 2020. It's a greedy council rout now. $15/night/person for a bit of lawn or dirt. No thanks greedy Yanka council. Get your act together.
Love camping at rapid bay. Perfect spot for squid
Fantastic access stairs from the jetty right down into the water. A divers dream!
Located in beautiful landscape of Fleurieur Peninsular. Fee is okay for staying basically at the beach, if you come early you might get a spot in the first row. Only toilets there, but they are okay. easy access to campground. Just call the guy in charge, very chilled atmosphere.
It's incredible that in ALL THE FLEURIEU PENINSULA there isn't a FREE CAMP!!!!! It's such an amazing place to visit, with these awesome beaches but you have to pay for everything!! It's crazy!! This campground has literally nothing! You pay 12.5$ per person just for a piece of grass and the view! There's a 'guardian' that you have to call and he comes to take the money and open the gate 😂😂 At least it's dog friendly
The phone number of the manager is at the entrance. To let him know you will be staying. He visits for fees in the afternoon.
Contact the owners in the FB page to book. We had a beautiful spot! Clean toilets to. The weather was awful but would love to come back.
Price a night has gone up. If you find their Facebook page you can message the owners to book in as they always have a ‘campsite full sign’. The toilets can be accessed by the public but are nice and clean. There are no showers. The beach is incredible and the spot is well worth the money. There is a public carpark next to the beach. There is no camping there but you definitely could get a way with it for a night.
They increased the price (even if the price on the door is still not updated). We do not recommend this place… it is very expensive for what you get: super crowded, no shower, public toilet, no water. There are 2 public barbecues. The access to the beach is okay but if you park next to the camp you will have access too!
