A very basic campsite. Easiest to book in advance online (in a location that has signel) instead of trying to phone. You also need a parks pass. Lots of flys! The spring was great, very hot. Totally unique experience. Suggest checking road and weather conditions before embarking on this trip. 4WD needed.

We paid for 2 nights but only stayed 1. Apparently there was rain coming and you won’t get out of here if it rains a lot. The phone at the rangers office can be used to book/register. It takes coins now. I did notice that others have said it only takes a phone card. Also i see at the toilet area the sign says they take cash too. The water was amazing. Almost too hot ?. We swam in the day and then later in the night. Oh many many many flies in the day and then mozzies swarm at night. The camp areas are just dirt/clay. Would not like to be here when it rains.

With the Simpson Desert Pass, the location is included but it must be reserved. At the moment few people, therefore places guaranteed !! Hot bath 33 degrees, happiness at sunrise and sunset. Flies and mosquitoes ... Nice walk to kingfisher spring. Have heard some Dingos ... Great welcome from rangers Graham and Julie.

Absolutely amazing! Well worth the drive! The first 100kms from the Oodnadatta turn off is pretty smooth, we sat on around 80/90kms/hour. The last 75kms was sh*t! The terrain changes so much, from red dirt to rocks to sand to corrugations. We had nothing to tow so averaged around 60km/hour but just be aware. Worth it. You’d want to spend at least 2 nights! Water was hot!!!

One of the best Spots I have been to! A hot pool in the middle of the desert, what better? Stay a night and enjoy the Stars from inside a nice hot pool. So good!

Nice campground with compost toilets and basic showers. It’s 10$ National Park Fee and 15$ per vehicle if you want to camp there (up to 8 persons). But be aware: you have to pre-book online and you have absolutely no reception there. You have the opportunity to book on-site with a payphone but it only works if you have a Telstra Phonecard because it doesn’t accept coins. The campground is spacious and the Dalhousie Springs are very nice and relaxing, hotter than we expected but still nice :) When we visited this place, there was absolutely no one out there.
