An extra welcome, unpowered site. Clean shower and toilets, efficient laundry. An atypical bar, and several menus for breakfast, lunch dinner or snack. Pascal gave us good information on local visits, on border crossing formalities at the moment (covid)

Great scenery travelling to this location from Alice Springs through Santa Teresa on Old Andado track, All Wheel drive or 4x4 high clearance is best. On arrival at Mt Dare staff are great with loads of coldies at the ready. Don’t forget to go onto Dalhousie for a dip before returning to Mt Dare!

Very friendly and helpful staff! They will advise you about short (or longer) trips to the desert and now a lot about road conditions! Showers & Toilets clean (just look for frogs) and don't be surprised by the yellow colour of the water, it's drinkable and tastes quite good!
