A must visit. We did the self guided tour and kids had fun exploring the tunnels and finding opal seams with the provided torch and map.
Cool mine. We did the self guided tour as we were only two persons and they start guided tour at four people. But it was ok. Afterwards we went noodeling outside. We didn‘t find anything, but it was worth the fun.
Fantastic tour option, particularly for children who may not be interested in the other sights around the town. Very hands on and informative, Justin was a fantastic tour guide. $59 for a family of 4, $11 per extra child for a "mini" tour, which is everything except the tunnelling machine (and the only one they're running at the moment).
Very nice people! Very interesting to look at. Self-guided tour costs $15 Definitely worth seeing.
