A 10-minute walk, with annoying mosquitoes along the way. We didn't see any pelicans without binoculars. Two benches in small huts. Strong wind, as there's a draft.
Nice walk to stretch your legs. 10 minutes each way. But as the previous comments say: take binoculars :-)
Unless you have binoculars, you won’t see much on the islands. Came end of January at 3pm, thousands of pelicans on the island & flying over the lake but couldn’t view them without binoculars
No pelicans late December. A nice short walk to break up the drive.
Disagree, we are also here in january. The wind was mild and we saw many pelicans seeguls and other birds on the jetty. This campground is wonderful especually for people who sleep in a tent, because the grassground is very comfortable. The toilet facilities are also in a great state, we can really recommend this campground :)
Not much to see but its only a short walk. Would recommend bringing binoculars
Not really worth visiting in January: not a lot of birds and far away
