We stayed there for one night. Quite place. Powered site $25.

Mid-March 2024. $25 Aud, one van, 2 adults, without electricity. The place is curious, very curious, one night it has its charm, but in fact the bathrooms were dirty, as if they had not been cleaned a long time ago. The place is beautiful and it is about 20 minutes by car from where you take the boat to María Island.

A nice setting, with potential, but is sincerely lacking in some care and attention. The bathrooms didn’t look like they had been cleaned in a couple of weeks. The fun land activities also could have some more attention paid to them. There is no camp kitchen, there are some bbqs for cooking at, but to wash dishes there is just 1 sink in what appears to be an old laundry, surrounded by dirty tea towels. If you are mostly self contained then this is an ok spot to stop the night.

Awesome place! We were the only ones there so initially it looked very empty and a bit depressing because of the rain, but it turned out to be great. The guy at the reception was friendly and the owners live next to the campsite, helpful as well. Place appeared to be quite big! There's a big playground, a lake with small boats you can use, minigolf, flying foxes and everyday you can help feed the deers and horses. Wild wallabies EVERYWHERE. Joined us when feeding the deers and during dinner. Would definitely recommend this spot!

Great, quiet bushcamping site with friendly staff and lovely owner. Well worth it as it includes an adventure park (zip-lines, playgrounds) and an animal park (horses, deer) free of charge. Has fireplaces, and lots of shady spots. Great place especially for kids.

Wow what a spot! Every single thing here was a pleasant surprise! Amazing spot for kids or playful adults. Lots of bugs so make sure you have bug spray. Also- the friendliest staff we’ve come across in Tasmania so far! Two thumbs up!

We loved this place. Worth the $15/adult to get away from all the free campgrounds where semi-permanent trailer villages have been established. Beautiful bush setting with plenty to do for the kids.

Guntrees is up for sale and has the feeling of a business being run down. Basic facilities and basic pitches. Lovely bush setting though.
