It's a very beautiful spot with amazing facilities and amnesties. The hosts are very friendly and helpful. A bit expensive but it was a lovely spot.

We arrived to Base Camp after a long day on the road and after the challenging way up the hill we couldn’t be happier to make it. It really worth it!! Graham was super hospitable and warm and showed us all around the place. We loved to support him and his business. There are great amenities, warm shower, everything you need to cook and make yourself comfortable. It was the perfect closure for our trip and one of our favorite places to stay in Tassie.

I sayed here for 2 nights in the shared room with 10 beds. So cosy, warm and comfortable. It is a proper cavin in the wild. The place si SUPER clean and tidy, plus the owner cannot be nicer. Strongly recommend it.

Stayed here in September and really perfect spot! So glad we could support Graham and his business. Slightly difficult to reach but we had a camper-van and was able to get up but believe large camper-vans wouldn’t make it. Facilities were fantastic. Would recommend to stay here!! Don’t be put off by the drive in - it’s worth it!

Beautiful location on a private wildlife sanctuary. Great ammenities, warm shower, good camp kitchen. Graham is very accommodating and might even let you feed the wallabies!

We stayed at BCT on the last night of our trip and probably has been our favourite place. Graham the owner is lovely and made us feel so welcome. Great camp kitchen setup with sofas, scrabble and all the cooking appliances you could need. Picturesque spot on the top of a hill surrounded by wildlife - just try and make sure you do the drive up in the daylight

Amazing spot ! We are a French couple spending one night. We arrived late in the evening and the owner was really friendly to us. The facilities are very clean, a huge kitchen with everything you need and more. Also you spend the night with a lot of wallabies around you ! We definitely recommend this place !

Wonderful place! Cabins in forest. Wildlife around. Very clean bathrooms and kitchen. Various wildlife around. Free internet. Could fit 2-3 camper-vans there. BUT very narrow and steep road. Confidence in your skill level needed if you bring larger vehicle. We did get up 6 bed camper van but just. Our favorite campsite in Tasmania.

Wow, Base Camp is utter bliss. $15pp unpowered. Graham the manager/owner is the most helpful man and is a pleasure to deal with. Bathroom facilities are brilliant and the kitchen/dining room is excellent. May be a struggle up the entrance road for larger campers. We will be back!
