Very level area, dump point, bins, has drinking water now, and price is $10 a night. Great base camp to explore cradle mountain from.. Suitable for big rigs.
Nice quiet spot , water, bins and dump station available, price has gone up as of 01 May 2021
Stayed for 2 nights, pleasant little spot, no toilets.. Water available but not drinkable.
Pleasant spot to park your caravan, camper van ect. Have bins for rubbish. Close to pub and IGA superm market. What a view we had looking at the beautiful mountains. $5 fee, which man comes around and collects.
Lovely spot with beautiful view on mountains. $5 per vehicle collected by a caretaker on the evening. As mentioned, no toilets on camp, the nearest are locked for the use of the cricket ground. However there are clean toilets and a shower at the Information Centre.
There is a toilet block but it’s locked. Quite small camp area and full.
From 1st Feb 2017, $5 fee will be collected by an officer for overnight parking
Great spot which we found last time we were in Tassie. Close enough to Devonport to make an easy first stop off the ferry. Some grass, some gravel. Dump point and town water. Sheffield is a nice little town. Toilets at oval not open at night. Some discussion in town about closing it so come and use it and let everyone in town know you are spending money in the town.
