Cannot drive in and out in your own vehicle if shuttle buses are running, you must catch a shuttle bus. They have boom gates to prevent entry.

Great spot especially if elderly or disabled and want to get the iconic view and photo of cradle mtn. Safe easy walk to start to viewing platforms then a lot of other tracks and hikes start from this area.

We didn't do the walk around the whole lake, but the views of the lake and cradle mountain (from the walk to Marion's look out) are amazing!!

What an amazing place walks for all levels of fitness all very well maintained with amenities at each stop.. If you get a national park pass you can use the shuttle service anytime to break up your walks.. Staff very helpful and the surrounds just stunning
