⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Great volunteer-run campground with a donation system for shower access. I recommend at least $15, as the facilities are really worth it. Very clean washrooms: separate men's/women's areas with 2 sinks, 2 showers, and toilets. Electrical outlets for charging devices. Communal kitchen + convenient outdoor sink. Stay limited to 72 hours. Very functional, well-maintained, and pleasant campground 👍

This campsite is a real gem. Spaciously laid out with room for tents, caravans, and camper vans. Both shaded and sunny pitches are available. The volunteers do an excellent job. Clean toilets and even hot showers. There is one BBQ plate and a covered area with an open fireplace where everyone can sit together in the evenings and have a chat. A fantastic place to stay for several nights. Thank you, Smythdale, for this donated campsite.

Awesome place to stay, has camp kitchen with power, toilets, hot showers, playground, BBQ facilities, book library, dump points, rubbish bins and potable water. Is donation camp and 3 day maximum stay. Close to town with IGA, pub and cafe.

Good open campground for tents and self contained vehicles. Decent flush toilets, hot showers, bbq area with one power plug point. Camp fires allowed. BYO firewood. Short walk to town for shops. Max 3 nights allowed. Great place to stay for couple of nights and explore Ballarat.

Very good place to stay some nights or just for stopover. They provide bins, dump station, water, toilets, showers and barbie area. Heaps of space, in the nature, very quiet : perfect! Make a donation to thank them for this place

Nice spot for a night or two. The toilets were clean, there is fresh water and there is shade. After weeks of rain the ground had some muddy patches but it was not too hard to find a place to park. There are envelopes to make donations and instructions on where to drop them.

Free camping & toilets, donation to the wonderful locals who maintain this park to receive a code to use the showers. Plenty of shady spots, easy to navigate both vans and motor homes in from the road entrance. Dogs on leads allowed ?? Gas bbq camp kitchen with a lovely fireplace. This is a wonderful, well maintained and peaceful spot (if the idiot near us could only go without his generator for 5 mins ?). Many thanks to the local community groups who have created such a perfect space!

It is suitable for campers and temporary stopover travelers who want to save money. Don’t miss the public toilets, showers (not open for COVID-19), and dining tables for up to three nights. This camping area uses donations. Donation information will be announced on the wall next to the public toilets. Backpackers will contribute a little to help this place.
