Impossible to get here with a campervan. Road full of potholes and very narrow so impossible to pass them. Not much room to park so crowded
Great quiet place just be brave, no signposts for a long time
Camp no 1, busy with campers and day visitors. Flat sites for Moho's easy access to creek and very rock in creek. Water flowing today . Dirt road in little skinny in places but very accessible has toliet block didnt use other side of creek
Camping area 3 is much quieter than the other two, but depending the state of the track (how rain the days before) might not be suitable for campervans
we went there for the night on 28th of October. kids loved it the creek was low enough for them to talk around playing in there. lots of people gold hunting. a few locals driving past a bit too fast so watch the kiddies. husband went on the 6km walk with the dog and was mostly a 4x4 track unfortunately. toilets were at an acceptable level had lots of toilet paper! please keep your dog on lead. only downside was the extreme loud music at night but can't expect less from a bunch of dudes drinking
Quiet and secluded with a good number of picnic table and fireplaces at the campsites which are set away from each other so good privacy. The 3km road to the campsite entrance was gravel but easily managed by our 2WD. Car can be driven to the actual campsite area but wet and muddy with some big potholes but again manageable by our 2WD car. Was relatively quiet for Kings birthday long weekend in June 2023.
Well, it’s free and in the middle of the nature and pretty cozy. Thank you for that :) But with our camper van it was not easy to drive the 3km unsealed road. So be careful and drive slowly!
Stayed here for one night. It was very quiet and loved this place. My Optus sim had 4G here even though it was very remote from the city.
Nice place, well insulated with dry toilets (it would need a good cleaning). Lots of shadows. If all the places are taken there are other freecamps further.
Loved this place, plenty of firewood in the area, very cold, stream running high to get to the toilets that badly need a clean!
