Very good price for what it is, lovely lady at the counter. BYO drinking water and fly nets!!
This is basically a bush camp with showers and toilets. $20pp unpowered. Okay for short stopover.Sandflies and moths in the evening.
Very nice lady at reception. Cost $20 pp for the night (unpowered). Equipped with toilets, showers, picnic areas, tent lawn, pool and barbecues. The camping kitchen has a toaster, kettle, refrigerator and gas stove. There are both unpowered and powered pitches. Tap water (even boiled) is not drinkable. You could buy 10l in the restaurant for a slightly more expensive price. Restaurant with advance booking for the evening. Good Telstra reception.
A$ 15 per person for an unpowered site. The camp site closes at 5 pm but if you call in advance the staff might wait for you. Only bore water on site, you'll need to bring your own drinking water. The site is a few minutes away from the Stromatolites (currently not accessible). There is also a view point with incredible sunsets. Kitchen with stove, fridge and toaster. Clean swimming pool. Soft grass good for tents on the ground, but not much shelter from the wind. Decent toilets and hot shower
Love this outback, raw Australiana caravan park. Not flash but interesting with its historical Telegraph Repeater Station museum in the middle. Has own power generators so using the power needs to be a little considerate. Nice swimming pool and interesting little shop with nick nacks and tea room inside the old homestead reception building. Also carries some supplies. The Stromatolites on the shell beach close by. Swimming not recommended as water salty. Not much shade but heh, your in the wild
$30 for 2 people and a vehicle on a site without energy. The sanitary facilities were terrible and the beach was closed. To flee.
Very nice place to stop for a night or more, and have a nice swim in the pool. Good showers !
The reviews definitely give this place a bad wrap but it was great. Paid per person for unpowered site. Don’t be put off when you drive in. The “junk” is character and it’s more antique cars etc. The hosts were lovely and they have a fully stocked fridge with cold beers. $25 for any 6 which we couldn’t complain about. The bathrooms were very clean and probably some of the best we had used. It was however 42degrees when we arrived and not heaps of shade but Other than that perfect for the night.
Gem of a caravan site! 1hr from Denham and not far from the highway. We stayed on an unpowered site and we’re self sufficient. Toilet blocks are rustic, but clean with hot showers. Shop on site for essentials. Cafe too. (No alcohol sales on Sunday). Lots of history here. Beautiful sunsets too! Would definitely stay here again.
Nice camp site. Facilities may be old but very clean, lovely hot showers. Friendly helpful management. Nice pool, very clean. Communal fire pit, bbq’s etc. The telegraph museum is worth a visit. Would recommend.
