Epic day trip loved every minute of it. Flies were hectic at the top. Take you fishing Rod and slugs, mackerel and GT’s off the sand spot at the top monsters to be caught.
We saw three huge rays swimming in the shallow water and the colours are amazing. The "road" is okay if you have a 4wd, let down your tyres and drive carefully. There was a lady who got bogged though, but she managed to get out herself. Heaps of flies here and something stung me, felt like a bee sting. It was okay after a few minutes though, no idea what it was.
Sooooo beautiful! Make the 40km 4wd if you can. Backpackers do NOT try this in 2wd cars. We’re tired of pulling u out of bogged situations.
