Beautiful and quiet campsite on the edge of the lagoon with good views. Drop toilets are clean and free to use barbecues. Not bookable online until April 2026 so just pay the camp host on arrival
Great spot. Camping fees are standard for DBCA ($15 per adult /night) & need a park pass or pay national park fee of $17 per vehicle - could do this at station as you enter the park. Camp host was awesome. Good size spots but can get busy on weekends & not bookable.
We came because I saw good recommendations on CamperMate about this campsite. Unfortunately we had an horrible experience, the volunteer of April 2025 is an old man , very unpleasant and mean. Also the prices are 15$ for each adult + 17$ pre vehicle- very expensive for a campsite that offers only toilet. Also there’s no reception in the whole area, except for point on top of the hill. I don’t recommend to come here during April. And in general, not worth the price.
Best campsite in Peron. Great BBQ, wonderful beach and lookout to watch the sunset. For shadows, an awning is good
Well-equipped overnight spot: barbecue and picnic tables by the water, clean toilets. Incredible view, worth it! Access is only possible with 4WD as the sand is soft (20km from the NP payment station). After 8km there is a point to inflate and deflate the tire pressure. The night costs $15 per person and must be put in cash in an envelope at the front of the NP. Telstra reception available.
Really beautiful bush campground with clean toilets and a great view into the lagoon. The way is a quick, sandy dirt road drive.
It seems to be an amazing spot but always crowned with RVs (you can’t book so make sure to arrive in the morning). We paid the fees for this campsite in the trust box at the entrance of the park (as it is the easiest road in the park) but the sign “campsite full” was 5 km after the trust box ? The other campsites are 40km far in the park (1h driving) and roads are harder.
Lovely camp with very friendly hosts, nice swim in the lagoon and beautiful sunset Need a 4WD to reach as everywhere on François Peron
! Need 4WD ! Station to inflate and deflate before the off-road. Good place but too windy.. But the landscape is insane and volunteers are really kind !
Cam only get down there with a 4 wheel drive. We saw the "suitable for any vehicle type" on this app and paid our entry fees into the box and drove into the park, only to find a sign that said the road we needed to drive down to get to the camp was 4 when drive only.
